Export/Migrate Notes Data to SharePoint, or Anywhere!

With Teamstudio Export, we take a comprehensive approach to archiving—preserving everything, just in case. By storing your data in an XML format, we capture all the essential elements: field data, rich text (including formatting), file attachments, and even database design. And because it’s stored in a text-based, non-proprietary format, it can be easily read by any XML reader.

Once your data is safely archived, you no longer need your Domino servers. All that's left is deciding how you want to convert and use your Notes data.

Teamstudio Export allows you to:

  • Convert to HTML: Turn your archived Notes/Domino data into a fully functional HTML website, replicating views from the original application—perfect for distribution to users.

  • Export to PDF: Output each document as a PDF file, ideal for uploading to your content management system.

  • Migrate to SharePoint: Directly transfer your data from the XML archive to a SharePoint list. You can even build a PowerApps application to interact with and manipulate the data.

  • Export to CSV: If needed, Export can generate CSV files for easy import into any other system.

The built-in data selection wizard makes it simple to choose exactly what you want to export. Whether you prefer using a Notes selection formula, the full-text search engine, or selecting a view from the original application, you have complete control over which documents are migrated.

With Export, the possibilities are limitless!

Browsable HTML and PDF Archives

Teamstudio Export makes it easy to quickly archive your HCL Notes/Domino databases into high-fidelity, searchable HTML and PDF archives.

Users can seamlessly navigate these archives using just a browser. All database views are faithfully reproduced, including categorized views, with the option to hide any views you don’t want users to see. Forms are rendered just as they appear in the Lotus Notes client, preserving the original user experience.

Switch to the Data tab, and all fields are displayed in a configurable layout. Rich text and formatting are preserved accurately, and attachments can be easily downloaded and opened. Full-text search functionality is included, allowing users to locate archived data effortlessly. Alternatively, you can choose to archive your HCL Notes/Domino documents in PDF format for easy viewing.

The primary purpose of an archive is to enable users to retrieve data that didn’t get migrated to the new system. With Teamstudio Export’s browsable archives, users can do just that—without any recurring costs. Best of all, no web server is required!

“Teamstudio Export is going very well - it is the best product. All our databases (over 800) need to be exported to HTML. I am working my way through the exporting. I have done more than 600 so far, so I am most of the way through – it is a very big job. But if we didn’t have Teamstudio Export, I don’t know what we would have done – it is a life saver.”
— John Witherby, Systems Operation Manager, Group Audit, Westpac Group

“With Teamstudio Export we found the perfect tool to archive all of our Lotus Notes databases in HTML with just a few clicks. A migration project to MS SharePoint forced us to shut down Notes/Domino and to backup a huge amount of databases. Users are now able to access the Notes documents in HTML from a file server only by using a browser. The support team did a great and fast job if something went wrong in some special databases so we were able to finish the project in time.”
— Heiko Fink, Notes Developer & Admin, Nord-Ostsee Sparkasse
“This is a super product. We have used it for some of our data exports as we migrate apps and I have also used it for some email collections for the Legal team. Very easy to use and the results have been well received by the users. Everyone is impressed.”
